STAMFORD, CT — The non-profit organization Back to School Shop held their annual event in Stamford today. Families lined up their cars at Davenport Ridge Elementary to pick up a backpack filled with school supplies. The event is usually a pop-up shop but, due to the Pandemic, it was a drive-through. Organizers say that more than 50% of elementary school kids in the city are economically disadvantaged and they want to make sure all kids have what they need to be successful at school.
