Back to School Shop, Inc. is committed to respecting the privacy of our donors, volunteers and other visitors to our website. We want you to know how your information may be used, and give you the opportunity to remove your name from our mailing list, if you desire to do so.

  • By Back to School Shop: Contact information such as name, address, phone number, and email.

How Information Is Used

Back to School Shop uses your information to help you complete a donation or register as a volunteer, to communicate back to you, and to update you on Back to School Shop news. Credit card numbers and PayPal information are used by PayPal for donation processing.

No Sharing of Personal Information

Back to School Shop does not sell, rent, or lease your personal information to other organizations.

Identification of Donors

We recognize donors by category of gift online and/or at our annual event as outlined on the Sponsorship Benefits page of our website. We provide an opportunity to make your gift anonymous if you so choose, in which case your name and donor status will be kept confidential.

Removing Your Name From Our Mailing List

It is our desire not to send unwanted mail to our donors. Please contact us at contact@backtoschoolshop.org if you wish to be removed from our mailing list or click unsubscribe in a Back to School Shop email. Registered volunteers must be willing to receive email communication about their volunteer assignments.

Data Collected By our Hosting Platform

Our hosting platform, Squarespace, collects some data from our users through cookies or other similar technology, in order to evaluate, provide, protect or improve their services. They use this information in anonymous, aggregated form which does not focus on you individually. We do not ask Squarespace to collect information about you on our behalf. You can see their privacy policy at www.squarespace.com/privacy. Note that they refer to users of our website as “End Users”.
